Teresa N. Hardison
Teresa is a Board Certified Specialist in Family Law with over 10 years of experience. She has focused her legal career exclusively on family law, and has practiced primarily in Wake County since becoming licensed in 2007. Prior to joining Campbell Family Law, Teresa practiced with Ward Family Law Group (formerly Ward & Campbell), and Charles R. Ullman & Associates. In recognition of her exclusive focus on family law and after passing a rigorous exam administered by the North Carolina State Bar, Teresa became a Board Certified Specialist in 2013.
Teresa is originally from a small farming town in northeastern South Dakota. She excelled academically, graduating summa cum laude from Northern State University with a bachelor of science in elementary education. She relocated to Raleigh where she was a compassionate and ambitious fifth grade educator in the Wake County Public School System. Teresa then pursued her law degree, enrolling at North Carolina Central University School of Law. There, she continued her academic excellence, graduating magna cum laude and serving as the Articles Editor of the North Carolina Central Law Journal, and she also competed on the law school’s trial and mediation teams.
Teresa is an avid sports fan, having been a competitive athlete herself. She was a member of her college women’s basketball and volleyball teams prior to retiring due to injury. Not wanting to leave athletics, Teresa continued her passion for sports by coaching high school volleyball and youth basketball. She has a minor in coaching basketball, volleyball, as well as track and field, and most recently enjoyed having the opportunity to coach her stepson’s basketball team in a local youth basketball league.
Teresa is a member of both the Wake County Bar Association and the Family Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association. Teresa strives to maintain a high level of competency in family law. She has written appellate court case summaries for the Family Forum, a newsletter for the Family Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association.
Teresa was previously a member of the Rotary Club of Morrisville and has also volunteered with Project Together, a program sponsored by Interact and Legal Aid of North Carolina to assist indigent victims of domestic violence. Teresa resides in Orange County with her husband and children.
